For my last blog post, I discussed about the pros in blogging network. In this blog post, I would be focusing on the cons about blogging network to help you decide if you would be joining a blogging network in the future.
Here are some of the factors which I could consider as the Cons in blogging network:
Freedom
If you are a member of a blogging network, the chances of your freedom being curtailed would be high because something is expected of you because you are part of the said network. Though you still have "say" in terms of the big decisions regarding your blog, some details like say blogging schedule would be affected as there would be terms stated in your blogging contract.
Conform
This could be the same in terms of freedom but in this case, conformity could pertain in the way that you format a blog post. This could also pertain to the blogging style of writing style that you are using. For example, there are times where you are more comfortable in writing your opinions in your blog but in that specific blog in the blog network you are not allowed to do so but instead you have to blog just stating facts. This could pose as a "conform" disadvantage in blogging networks.
Pay
Some bloggers may have a different say about this matter and in this case, we may treat is as a disadvantage. The reason why pay in blogging network is a disadvantage is although it is fixed, there is a limit as to the amount that you are going to get paid. This means that having a fixed blogging salary is ok if you don’t have a high-rated blog but this does not count if you have a blog that has many hits which enables to have a high blogging-earning potential. You must first find out on which setting you would be most comfortable with.
Joining any blogging network is a a big decision and I am hoping that this blog post regarding the cons of joining a blogging network would help you to decided if it is really worthy to join your preferred blogging networks. Anyway, these are just some of the disadvantages that I have pointed out in blogging networks. It is really ultimately up to you if you would be joining a blog network or not.
