I’m stressed out when I see people struggling to setup a successful Internet business. More so, if that person has spent a great deal of money, jumping from the next big fad to another, but never really making any real progress.
It has crossed my mind time and time again what’s the main reason this is happening and I’ve come to the conclusion that generally it’s due to these 2 MAIN reasons:
- They are jumping from opportunity to opportunity, never sticking to something for long.
- They are always getting into the latest hyped-up fad which promises the next road to riches, but in actual fact, these were never really meant to be a stable and solid business model.
The solution to this is simple - decide on a business model which you feel comfortable with, and stick to it like super glue. Persist until you make it.
Having said that, most of you must be wondering why on earth is choosing a business model so important?
In my opinion, it’s even more important than choosing your niche.
Why?
Each business model comes with its own pros and cons. Some require heavy cash flow, while some requires dealing with customer service. Some requires you to deal with inventories, while some doesn’t. Some requires that you write often, while some doesn’t.
Say for example, even if you’re in a niche that you enjoy, but you’re doing something day in day out (in terms of activity) that you dislike a lot, you’re not going to enjoy your business.
Therefore, it’s critical that you first decide on a business model that you’ll have no problem sticking to when the going gets tough.
